"The Pot and the Kettle"Do as I say, not as I do. I wish this statement were less descriptive of me. I’ve been a mother for only nine years, but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to apologize to my children for my misbehavior, which usually involves losing my patience as well as my temper. As much as I repeat myself to my children, you would think I would hear my own words of instruction.

Labor and LoveBy Rachel KabukalaAs a self-proclaimed plan-aholic, one of the most important moments of my life--the birth of my daughter--did not go quite as expected. I had spent nine months reading everything I could get my hands on about labor and delivery, watched several videos on childbirth, and, with my husband, attended every class offered by our hospital. We carefully selected a physician and, over the course of my many visits, grew to know her well and looked forward to having her bring our child into the world.
