Distinctive Offerings within the District
Beverly Luckett, Public Relations Director for the Canton schools, expressed the district’s goal in this way: “The Canton Public Schools District is overcoming challenges [while at the same time] shining the light on new opportunities for growth and academic achievement,” preparing students to become lifelong learners and successful citizens.

In order to reach this goal, A Parent Center provides resources for parents who need to encourage their children to learn and/or to give them direction.  There are also School-based Clinics for helping keep children healthy.

The district has invested in advanced technology systems in all the schools and has computers in every classroom.

Twenty-first Century Community Learning Centers have been designed to increase students’ academic success.  There are also available gifted programs as well as extended school day programs offering additional help when needed.
